The thing I love most about my work is that I get to hear some amazing life stories and every one is so different. Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of writing hundreds of bespoke pieces and many of these have been for older relatives or loved ones. A custom written poem based on an individuals life story makes for an extremely meaningful and moving gift. It’s something that they can either treasure or display. A special keepsake. The perfect gift to mark a milestone birthday, a retirement or an anniversary.

Description

What length of poem should I choose?

This is entirely up to you, however the longer the poem, obviously the more information can be captured. Poems around 24 lines in length can be fairly detailed yet can still be beautifully presented on a single page. This makes them ideal for framing and giving as a gift.

Longer poems are ideal for a speech or a reading. To give an idea of timings, 24 lines will take approximately 1-2 minutes to read, 36 lines will take approximately 2-3 minutes and 48 lines will take approximately 3-4 minutes. How does it work?

Once you have placed your order, please head on over and fill in this form.

If I require any further information whilst writing your poem I will contact you again via email. In some instances I may be able to work to short deadlines but when possible, please allow at least 3 weeks for me to work on a first draft of your poem. If you need your poem sooner than this then please contact me before placing your order.

How will I receive my poem?

Initially, I will send you a first draft of your bespoke poem in the body of an email. This is your opportunity to suggest any amendments to the content. I will then go away and finalise your poem before emailing you again with a beautifully formatted PDF of your poem attached. Sending the poem digitally not only ensures that you receive your poem quickly but it also gives you the freedom to decide how best to display it.
