Bespoke Memorial Poem

(2 customer reviews)

“Sally did a phenomenal job in creating the most perfect poem for my nans last day with us. There were tears and laughter which have given us peace in saying goodbye to the best Nan in the world.

The words meant so much, I was so moved by the poem that the first time I read it I burst into tears.

Firstly, I am so very sorry for your loss. At this extremely difficult time it is an honour and a privilege that you are considering working with me to write something for your loved one. My aim is to capture everything you wish to say and to transform those thoughts, feelings and memories into written rhyming verse. Working together we will ensure that we create the perfect send off for your loved one.

What Length Of Poem Should I Choose?

I offer a fixed price of £60 for bespoke memorial poems regardless of length. I will be guided by you as to the required length as this depends heavily on the purpose of the poem. Poems around 24 lines in length can be beautifully presented on one sheet of A4 and make for a perfect keepsake to remember someone.

Longer poems can capture a lot more information and, as such, are ideal for a speech or a reading. To give an idea of timings, 24 lines will take approximately 1-2 minutes to read, 36 lines will take approximately 2-3 minutes and 48 lines will take approximately 3-4 minutes. If you would like to discuss your requirements then please feel free to contact me.

How Does It Work?

I aim to respond via email to all enquiries within 48 hours. I will answer any questions you may have and ask a little more about you and what it is you are hoping for. If you are happy to proceed then I will send you an invoice along with a link to a form that you can complete with all the information you wish to be included in your bespoke poem.

If I require any further information whilst writing your bespoke poem I will contact you again via email. Given the nature of memorials and funerals I am usually able to work to a quicker turnaround time for bespoke memorial poems.

How Will I Receive My Poem?

Initially, I will send you a first draft of your bespoke poem in the body of an email. This is your opportunity to suggest any amendments to the content. I will then go away and finalise your poem before emailing you again with a beautifully formatted PDF of your poem attached. Sending the poem digitally not only ensures that you receive your poem quickly but it also gives you the freedom to decide how best to display it.

I want to thank Sally from the bottom of my heart.
I asked Sally to write a poem for me for my mum’s funeral. I gave her some information about my mum’s life and she came back with the most perfectly written poem I could ever imagine.
The words meant so much, I was so moved by the poem that the first time I read it I burst into tears. I knew I couldn’t read the poem at the funeral so my wife read it on my behalf. At the end of the service that poem was the talk of the town. It was the most remembered and moving part of the service.
10 out of 10 isn’t enough, I want to give Sally an infinite out of 10.
    Thank you so much!

Sally is such a talented woman and mother.
Last year I asked Sally to right a poem for our nans mother’s day present. It was filled with things that she does for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. I gave Sally a list of things that she does, memories, quirky things that only meant something to us. Sally took the time to speak to me after this and listen to the stories behind this list and understand the reasoning, so that her poem would have meaning and not just be words on a piece of paper. The end result was amazing, my Nan cried loving tears and hung it up pride of place in her house and when her friends would come round they would always notice it and she would say that it was perfect.
Fast forward nearly a year to the date… our family were hit with devastating news that my Nan had suddenly past away. My family were arranging her funeral, which we didn’t not want to be a sad day, and her grandchildren wanted to say some kind words but didn’t know where to start until we sat in her house and looked straight at Sally’s poem staring us right in the face. What better to say than what we already had said to her. I contacted Sally and speaking through a teary voice I explained that we would like to add some more memories, change it into past tense and sign it off the way my Nan did to us every time we saw or spoke to her.
Sally did a phenomenal job in creating the most PERFECT poem/rhyme for my nans last day with us. There were tears and laughter which have given us peace in saying goodbye to the best Nan in the world.
I would never hesitate to use or recommend Sally and her talented work , she goes above and beyond anyone I have ever met and create the most beautiful rhymes and poems
    Thank you sally
