Do I Need A License?
If you wish to add my words to one or more of your products, whether the wording is something generic or a bespoke piece written just for you, then you will need to purchase a commercial license. A license will also be required if you wish to use one of my poems or quotes for TV, film or radio.
How Much Does It Cost?
The cost of a commercial license depends on the way in which you plan to use the particular poem or quote. Full details of the price structure are shown in the tables below.
A “limited use” license permits the sale of a maximum of 2000 units of a particular product type. Products must all be marketed under the same business name and may only be sold via the business’s own website, social media, Etsy and nuMONDAY.
An “extended use” license permits the sale of an unlimited number of a particular product type. Products must all be marketed under the same business name but may be sold via wider distribution methods.
An “TV, film or radio” license permits for one particular poem or quote to be used for TV, film or radio. The price depends on the anticipated number of lifetime viewers or listeners.
*Please be aware that the prices shown are for the use of a single poem or quote. Terms and conditions apply. To discuss these further please feel free to email me on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Will I Have Exclusive Use Of The Poem/Quote?
This commercial license is for non-exclusive use, meaning that other businesses may also purchase a license for the same poem or quote. If you would like something bespoke writing that is exclusive to your business then you will also need to purchase a bespoke poem/quote for business use.
How Does It Work?
If you are interested in purchasing a house commercial license then please click on the “Request More Information” button above and complete the form. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 working hours. We can then discuss the possible options for issuing you with a license and go through the Terms & Conditions that you will be required to sign up to. If you are happy to proceed then I will email you with an invoice along with a contract to sign.
Please be aware, if you are purchasing a license for a product then one of the terms of the contract will be the requirement that a Copyright statement is added to any marketing material for the product (websites, social media and leaflets) acknowledging that the words were written by Sally R. Wilkes of Rhymes To Remember.
Are There Any Exclusions?
Licenses will not be issued for digital or downloadable products, for prints or for vinyl stickers. They will also not be issued for use with print on demand sites, for example Redbubble or Thortful. If you are unsure as to whether your product comes under any of these exclusions then please get in touch.
